Erasmus time - challenge yourself

Are you Erasmus? Are you ready to start the best part of your time at the university? Let’s do it! Use your Erasmus time to develop yourself, to discover your talents, to make a chance for better career. Find your own way of discovering life in its social and cultural dimensions and of course do not forget to have fun. Openness to cultures is one of the main aims of Erasmus.

Life skills
Erasmus Programme is not only a period of study in a foreign language, but it’s also like sailing out into an ocean of opportunities, discovering further possibilities for development. It is worth being open and initiative. The social and cultural events are a natural way of meeting others and thanks to them the curiosity about the world breaks down language, cultural barriers. Erasmus students are not tourists - they live and participate in daily life of the country. While you are here, life is going to change.

Get in touch with culture
To realize your ideas take a look at Radio and Cultura RUM. See the website www.cultura.rum.pt and read some of news to get in touch with culture, to get an idea of what you can present to others as well. Take part in many activities. Share your hobbies and passion by making workshops. It needs to overcome internal barriers. It requires courage, but it can be also an amazing experience.

Fun
Braga and Guimaraes offer many possibilities to have fun. There are some theatres, cinemas, pubs, clubs, places where Erasmus can meet. However, do not forget about your creativity and chance to organize something by yourself. Discover cultural diversity and find out what things you have in common.

Set a new goal
Living and studying in a new country is a challenge – you will find yourself facing new and unexpected situations. So, discover a different culture, make new friends from all over the world, learn a foreign language and do something that will look great on your CV as well. If you are ready for a challenge, set a new goal for yourself whatever it is, make it something you will really work for. „The unexamined life is not worth living” Socrates.
